The San Antonio Spurs took a 130-118 beating by the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden yesterday. That marked the 12th time in Spurs last 13 games the score went over the total, and I think that will be the case once again here at Brooklyn Monday night.

Over is 14-2 in Spurs last 16 games playing on zero days rest and 12-3-1 in their last 16 games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game. The Nets are coming off a 117-115 triumph at Charlotte and five of their last six overall have gone over the total.

In addition to picking the over as a free play, I also think we have strong case for backing the Nets here. San Antonio has dropped six of of its last seven, and fatigue will surely be an issue tonight. "It was a pathetic performance defensively but the Knicks had something to do with that," coach Gregg Popovich told the media yesterday. "They were physical. They did a good job."

San Antonio has won seven straight meetings. Expect Nets team fired up to end that losing streak as they can smell blood in the water.
