Extremely tough loss with the Chicago White Sox as the free pick on Monday as closer David Robertson gave up four runs with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to lose the game 4-3. I expect the White Sox to bounce back Tuesday night with Jose Quintana on the mound.
Quintana (7-8, 3.21 ERA) may be 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA in six meetings (five starts) with the Mariners, but that's still way better than Wade Miley's (6-6, 5.44 ERA) 1-2 with a 6.52 ERA in three starts against the White Sox. The current Chicago roster is batting a combined .338 over 65 at bats against the southpaw and I hold the All Star Quintana as a much better pitcher than Miley.
The Mariners had mighty trouble to solve Chris Sale yesterday (8 innings, 1 hit) and I don't think they'll have much success against Quintana tonight either.
