I'm playing on KANSAS. This past football season, the Cyclones beat the Jayhawks by a 59-7 score. Tonight, the Jayhawks basketball teams gets some revenge for the school. Off an upset loss to Texas Tech, the Jayhawks are going to be all business this evening. They're 5-2 ATS the last seven times that they were off a conference loss. Prior to the loss on the weekend, the Jayhawks had won eight straight. All eight wins were by eight points, six were by double-digits. The Cyclones are fairly stingy but they can't score that effectively. Not enough to keep up with the highest-scoring team in the Big 12, at least. They average just 71.1 ppg compared to 83 for Kansas and 85.7 here at home. Note that Kansas is 8-3 ATS (11-0 SU!) its last 11 against teams which allow 64 or fewer points, after at least 15 games of the season. The Jayhawks won by "only" 14 at Iowa State last season but they beat the Cyclones by 33 in the game here at Kansas. Including that destruction, the Cyclones are just 6-18-1 ATS (1-24 SU!) their last 25 on the road. Needless to say, this is not the place to cure their road woes. Expect another one-sided blowout.
