The Cardinals Jack Flaherty is coming off a great 2019 season but with one exception. The Brewers were Flaherty's nemesis as he went 1-3 against them. In 3 starts at Milwaukee last season Flaherty went 0-2 with a 7.62 ERA and the Brewers hit .368 against him. This is Milwaukee's home opener and, even without fans, that still means something to the team in a division rivalry game. The Brewers will be ready at the plate here but the Cardinals should also enjoy hitting success at Miller Park Friday. The Cardinals are off a shutout loss Wednesday and teams normally bounce back off a poor effort like that. In this case the Cardinals will take advantage of facing lefty Brett Anderson whom went 2-4 with a 5.56 ERA in 11 day game starts as opponents hit .319 against him. He is coming off the injured list here too (blister on finger on throwing hand). Per the above as well as the simulation report, play OVER in Milwaukee
