New York bullpen has a 2.79 ERA on the season to rank among best teams in MLB. The Yankees start Jordan Montgomery and he has been pitching better last two starts entering this one. As for facing the Rays, Montgomery has been hurt by the long ball but has allowed only 10 hits in 15 innings while striking out 15 in last 3 starts versus Tampa Bay. 2 of those starts against the Rays were this season. In his other 4 starts this season not against the Rays Montgomery has allowed just 1 homer in about 22 innings! Tampa Bay starter Luis Patino has great stuff and faces a Yankees team prone to striking out too much. They have not seen him before so this is a big edge for him as well.
