Take #351 Illinois Over Kansas
(NCAAF) Illinois vs. Kansas,
Point Spread: 3.50 | -108.00 Illinois (Away)
Result: Loss
Quarterback Luke Altmyer saved Illinois from a deflating first-week loss to Toledo, engineering a late drive that set up a 29-yard field goal by Caleb Griffin for a 30-28 win on Saturday. Altmyer and the Fighting Illini try to make it 2-0 on Friday night when they travel to Lawrence, Kan., for their first meeting with Kansas since 1968. ESPN reported Thursday that Jalon Daniels is expected to play, though it wasn't clear whether Daniels or Jason Bean would start the game, but we like Illinois regardless of the Kansas starter. Illinois has already been in a hard fought game this year, and Kansas has yet to face a competitive team, and we think the Illini hang tough tonight.
