No surprise if we get another grinder tonight, especially as Ryan Pepiot returned to active duty for the Rays last Wednesday and picked up where he left off in July, allowing 0 ER in 5 2/3 IP vs. the D-backs after posting a 1.71 ERA in his previous four starts (late June to mid-July). Note A's pitchers have only allowed one run in this series, and Mark Kotsay would be happy with five serviceable innings from Mitch Spence after a couple of rough outings lately.
