With the D-backs scoring runs almost for fun in their current six-game win streak, we are not expecting a pitching duel in Phoenix. Arizona is back home but with lots of momentum after scoring 45 runs across those last six wins, which will challenge Mets starter Sean Manaea and his 4.76 ERA across his last three starts. Manaea was also knocked around the last time he saw the D-backs on June 1 at Citi Field, allowing six runs (five earned) in 5 2/3 IP of a 10-5 loss. Note there were a whopping 34 runs scored across the last two games of that three-game set in Queens. The Mets are not going to cower, however, having won six of ten and chasing the Braves (three games ahead) for the last NL wild card spot.
