Angels at Tigers
(MLB) Angels (LAA) vs. Tigers (DET),
Point Spread: -1.50 | 162.00 Tigers (DET) (Home)
Result: Loss
The "new White Sox" are the Angels, who have fallen into the abyss the past couple of weeks with losses in 12 of 14, including six in a row, with no immediate help forthcoming from the offense which has scored all of 12 runs in this latest spin-out of six games. And we won't even mention the Halo pitching staff except to say don't be fooled by griffin Canning's six shutout innings last week at Toronto, helped by the fact the Blue Jays geared things down after scoring five times in the first inning, and were not playing with much urgency as they had more runs than they needed. Besides, we kind of like Detroit at the moment, winners in 12 of 15 to move back above .500, and showing admirable spunk after what seemed a trade deadline sell-off. AJ Hinch might well make this a bullpen game as he mulls his starting pitcher assignment, but the real attraction here is to go against the Angels. Play Tigers on Run Line
