It's a World Series rematch here and there are more practical reasons for the D-backs to succeed aside from just gaining some revenge on the Rangers from last October. Such as staying afloat in the NL wild card race that has suddenly become very precarious with botht he Mets and Braves lurking within striking distance and someone about to get left out of the postseason equation. Texas looks dangerous here as the Rangers haven't given up on the season, winning seven of ten, and Nathan Eovaldi has tapped a rich vein of form, allowing only two runs and five hits across 14 innings in his last two starts, and a pair of wins for the Rangers (who have actually won in Eovaldi's last three starts).
