Rockies at Tigers
(MLB) Rockies (COL) vs. Tigers (DET),
Point Spread: -1.50 | 118.00 Tigers (DET) (Home)
Result: Win
Not too dissimilar from the Chisox in the American league, we might miss the Rockies when this season concludes in a couple of weeks. At 54-91, they continue to be a prime go-against option, and whose only remaining goal this season is to avoid 100 losses, which looks inevitable after efforts liek last night's 11-0 loss at Comerica Park. The recalled Tanner Gordon, 0-5 with a 7.55 ERA, has returned to active duty to start this game for Colorado in his first action since August 21. a 6-1 loss to the Nats. There are not many options for Bud Black these days in a depleted staff and rotation. Meanwhile, the Tigers are still fighting in the AL wild card race and within three games of the Twins for the last wild card spot. Tonight, Casey Mize makes his third start since being reactivated and has been serviceable, twice pitching into the sixth inning. Note that Detroit pitching has only allowed two runs across its last three games, all wins. Play Tigers on Run Line
