Mets at Phillies
(MLB) Mets (NYM) vs. Phillies (PHI),
Money Line: -105.00 Mets (NYM) (Away)
Result: Loss
The Mets are showing no signs of slowing down after another win last night in Philadelphia, which makes it 12 wins in 14 and maintaining the final NL wild card spot into the weekend despite a push from the Braves, just a game in arrears. Saturday night starter Luis Severino is one of several Mets pitchers who have picked up the pace in recent weeks, allowing one or no runs in four of his last five starts. Meanwhile, the Phils, in cruise control atop the East, didn't seem to be playing with much urgency last night, and Rob Thomson tonight is going to give another look at Kolby Allard, vying for some role in the postseason but needing to convince some more after posting a 6.75 ERA in limited work at CBP this season.
