White Sox at Angels
(MLB) White Sox (CWS) vs. Angels (LAA),
Money Line: 158.00 White Sox (CWS) (Away)
Result: Win
The Chisox are still kicking! At least in regard to avoiding 120 losses. Back-to-back wins over the A's have moved them to 35 wins and still with a shot to avoid the most losses in the modern era, a mark currently held by the 1962 expansion Mets, they of 40-120 fame. At 35-115, the Pale Hose have been thrown one last bone with a pair of three-game series vs. the fading Angels, who hit tonight off of getting swept in another series, this time by the Astros. The latest Angels losing streak is now at five, and while Reid Detmers has impressed since his recall from AAA, his teammates sure haven't for almost two months now as the Halos are 24-43 since June 29 and six defeats from matching their own all-time loss mark of 95 (set in 1980). The Sox have also experienced a recent win in a game started by Jonathan Cannon (September 4 vs. the Orioles), who has had serviceable outings in his last two starts. Play White Sox on Money Line
