Jonathan Smith returns to Eugene, only instead of the traditional orange and black he wore in recent years coaching nearby Oregon State, he will be wearing Michigan State's shade of green. Smith at times fared well vs. the Ducks from upstate in recent years, but this might be a chore with his new Spartans troops who can't seem to score meaningful points in any game. The MSU defense is as salty as ever, however, and keyed a couple of wins earlier in the season. The Spartans will also be able to make a comparison between the Buckeyes and Webfoots after this week, so stay tuned. We want to find out more about Oregon and transfer QB Dillon Gabriel, who has completed almost 82% of his passes, and now faces arguably the toughest defense he might face all season.
