Kennesaw State at Santa Clara
(NCAAB) Owls (KENN) vs. Broncos (SCU),
Point Spread: -14.50 | -112.00 Broncos (SCU) (Home)
Result: Win
Another far-flung road trip for Kennesaw State, this one to Silicon Valley, after an excursion to Alberta for games during Thanksgiving week, when the Owls lost 2 of 3. Living on the perimeter, the Owls are really at the mercy of their three-point shots, which haven't been connecting all that well (just 32.5%). There is hope that 6-5 frosh Adrian Wooley (15.8 ppg) might have just had his real breakout game when scoring 28 in a win at Georgia State. Herb Sendek's Santa Clara, however, is looking a lot like the UCI team that whipped KSU by 17 in Alberta a few weeks ago. The Broncos are working on three impressive wins in a row as three-point shots, which weren't falling the first few weeks of the season, are now connecting, especially boomerang transfer G Carlos Stewart, scoring 18 ppg and hitting 59% beyond the arc (17 of 29) the past five games after enduring a very bumpy first few weeks of the season.
