We must note the success rate of Notre Dame under Marcus Freeman, now on a 12-game SU win streak, with ten straight spread covers. Still, the thought is that the Domers have caught a bigger break schedule -wise and into the playoffs can't escape us. We recall USC and Jayden Maiava moving a bit too easily thru the air vs. Al Golden's brawling defense on November 30, and note ND was facing a backup Georgia QB with little experience in the quarterfinal Sugar Bowl. Scoring points is how to win games and by us it seems Penn State can negotiate that a bit easier with its collection of weapons paced by do-everything TE Tyler Warren, all operating smoothly in first-year OC Andy Kotelnicki's progressive attack. Notre Dame can make big plays out of the Riley Leonard-led offense, but recent work unconvincing, and the Georgia game turned around on a short field following a turnover and an Irish kickoff return TD by Jayden Harrison to open the second half.
