After dealing with the raging wildfires in the LA area this week, a different sort of problem lately on the court for the Bruins, as they have suddenly gone stone-cold from beyond the arc, hitting just 6 of 48 (6 of 48!) on their triples in losses to Nebraska and Michigan. With frontliners Eric Dailey and William Kyle playing at apparently something less than 100%, G Dylan Andrews (7 points the last four games!) floundering, and G Sebastian Mack unable to find free looks, Mick Cronin has some fundamental issues to deal with on top of the rugged Big Ten slate which already seems to be taking a toll. Meanwhile, the Terps are glad to be home after a tough trip to the Pacific Northwest, but this is the same Maryland that in December blew out both Ohio State and Syracuse, has a real frontline with 6-10 frosh Derik Queen (16 ppg) & 6-9 sr Julian Reese (13 ppg), boasts of five DD scorers for Kevin Willard, shoots nearly 50% from the floor, and scores at a near 86 pg clip.
