As we don't think beating Iowa these days deserves a lot of extra credit, we're going to think about any buy signal for UCLA until they win this one vs. the Badgers. Not so easy, we're afraid, as Wiscy's dominant win over an ascendant USC on the weekend suggest the Badgers aren't the Hawkeyes (we'll say...Wiscy blew out Iowa 116-85 on January 3). In the current 7-game win streak that has moved the Badgers to No. 18 in the rankings, Greg Gard's bunch is scoring at an 83 pg clip, with a win margin of better than 16 pg. Four different leading scorers the past four games, too; watch emerging soph G John Blackwell, scoring at a 21 pg pace the past five.
