The "under" and the A's seem a match made in heaven, as the baseball spirits have created an irresistible combo in Oakland featuring sluggish offense and good pitching. Ergo, "under" was the case in the first two games of this midweek set at Petco Park. It can almost be no other way as the A's seem capped at three runs, a threshold they've cleared just once in the last nine games, and even that required extra innings on Sunday vs. the Blue Jays. We've established that Oakland can't score, but the other half of the equation is pitching, and though his sample size is relatively small, rookie Hogan Harris looks like he might be the real deal after tossing six shutout innings of three-hit ball at Toronto last Friday in his second start.
