We haven't often said "the Mets look good value here!" this season, but we might want to start thinking about that. After all, despite all of the bumps in the first two-and-a-half months of the campaign, the Mets wake up this morning only 3 games out of the final NL wild card slot, still plenty of time to climb into a postseason position. A current 7-2 uptick is fueling optimism, and even if Saturday starter Jose Quintana has had a bit of a tough go the past month, he is usually good for at least six innings of work. We are very unsure what Padres rookie Adam Mazur is likely to deliver after he was torched by the D-backs last Sunday in his second MLB start, and brings a 9.00 ERA in two appearances into Citi Field today.
