The legend of Paul Skenes continues to grow at PNC Park, the hype justified by his performance thru six starts while posting an ERA of 2.43 and a WHIP of 0.96. He has tied various foes in knots, most recently the Cardinals, who couldn't touch him in six innings last Tuesday while generating just 2 hits. But the Pittsburgh offense is a bit hit-and-miss (even though the Bucs have scored nine or more runs in four of the starts made by Skenes), and the Reds are also high on their rookie Carson Spiers, who gets his first shot in the rotation after impressing mightily (1.17 ERA in four outings) in long relief since his recall in later May.
