We'd probably likely play this one as a draw if available, or maybe the Czechs on the spread. But count us among those not quite sold on Portugal or new manager Roberto Martinez, who did lead the side thru a dominant qualifying run (mostly vs minnow sides). Martinez, as Craig Burley noted last night on ESPN FC, is fortunate to keep getting these plum assignments, especially after he couldn't lift a star-studded Belgium the past few years. Sure, Cristiano Ronaldo is still there to bang in goals, but he does little else when on the pitch, and it will likely be Man U's Bruno Fernandes in the middle of whatever Portugal is trying to do with the ball. But the Czechs are rugged and functional, and we recall the top of the knockout stage at the last Euros when they took apart a stunned Holland. Bayer Leverkusen's healthy-again Patrik Schik (who scored perhaps the goal of the last Euros) one of several weapons for the Czechs who have shined on the international stage, and this would not be as big of an upset as the odds suggest.
