2024 Cure Bowl: Ohio vs. Jacksonville State
(NCAAF) Bobcats (OHI) vs. Gamecocks (JVS),
Total: 56.50 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
Ohio and Jacksonville State have combined to win 19 games this season, and they'll square off in Friday's Cure Bowl. I think there are plenty of offensive unknowns here, and that the defenses will have plenty of chances to shine.

It's not like these are terrible defensive units, either. In their last five games, the Bobcats have yielded more than 10 points just once. Jacksonville State, meanwhile, made headlines with their Rich Rodriguez-led offense, but the defense pulled its weight. The Gamecocks gave up a total of just 29 points in two back-to-back games against a solid Western Kentucky squad that showed all year long that it could move the ball.

Off-field news lends itself to a more defensive game, too. Rodriguez left to return to West Virginia, and I think the Jacksonville State offense may be missing a spark because of that. Put everything together, and I think the total's a few points too high.

Give me "under 56.5" in this one.
