T.M. Selection: Pittsburgh Pirates.

I like the Pittsburgh Pirates to win this game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday. The Phillies have looked good in their games lately, putting up a ton of runs as they did again yesterday, but I don't trust their pitching here and the Pirates offense started to wake up near the end of that game. The Phillies took an early lead going up 8-0 but their bullpen started to blow the game late and gave up 7 late runs, with 5 of those coming in the 9th inning. I don't think the Phillies are going to get out to a big lead here though and I see the Pirates putting up some runs here after yesterday. Bailey Falter (0-3, 5.18 ERA) is up for the Phillies here but he hasn't looked great in his starts lately, giving up 4 runs in his most recent start. I expect the Pirates to put runs up on him here and once he comes out of the game, I don't trust the Phillies bullpen to keep the Pirates off the board still. Jose Quintana (3-5, 3.70 ERA) is up for the Pirates here and he has looked great in a majority of his starts this year. He did have 2 bad starts in July but bounced back in his most recent start and I expect him to shut down this Phillies lineup here. I like the Pirates to win this game.
