T.M. Selection: Seattle Mariners.

I like the Seattle Mariners to win this game against the New York Yankees on Tuesday. The Yankees destroyed the Mariners on Monday but they haven't really looked great in their games lately and I think the Mariners can bounce back here. They did win 2/3 against the Yankees just last week, and the Yankees have struggled against this starter when facing him this year. Luis Castillo (5-4, 2.95 ERA) is up for the Mariners here and he has looked really good this year. He doesn't give up many runs in his starts and he hasn't given up more than 3 against the Yankees in 2 starts this year, 1 with the Mariners and 1 with the Reds. Gerrit Cole (9-4, 3.56 ERA) is up for the Yankees here and he has looked very up and down this year, pitching well in some games but not lately, giving up 5+ runs in 2 starts in a row now. Cole had his most recent start against the Mariners and gave up 6 runs in that game. The Yankees have been struggling lately, mainly with their offense, but they are even more banged up now losing Carpenter yesterday on top of all of their other injuries to key players. I expect the Mariners to make good with their opportunity here and beat the Yankees. I like the Mariners to win this game.
