A's over Tigers- The Tigers offense has been slumping of late and now have Miguel Cabrera hobbled with a sore right ankle (the same one he had surgically repaired in October. Detroit has now lost three straight and six of their last nine games. The best thing they have going is David Price (3-1, 3.32 ERA) as they have been winners in each of his last five starts. He is 2-2 with a 3.69 ERA in seven career starts against Oakland. The A's will start Jesse Chavez (1-4, 2.89) who has been a victim of poor support but their starters have a 2.38 ERA over their last 14 games. Take OAKLAND!
