Mariners over Tigers- The disappointing Seattle Mariners blew an eighth inning lead last night to dropped their third one-run game since the All-Star break as they fell to 1-3. They will be starting Taijuan Walker (7-7, 4.84 ERA) who had won five straight starts before getting belted around in a loss to the Angels. He has won four straight road decisions giving up just three runs in 26 innings and has no record against Detroit. The Tigers will start Shane Greene (4-7, 6.32) who just spent a month in the minors as he has lost five straight decisions will one coming since his return when he surrendered seven runs as he hasn't worked past the fifth inning in any of his last four starts.
