Mets over Mariners- This is the final game of a 10-game homestand for Mariners as they send their best James Paxton (10-3, 2.84 ERA) to the hill to try and even-up at 5-5. Paxton has been perfect in July going 5-0 with a 1.62 ERA with 38 strikeouts and only six walks in 33.1 innings. New York will counter with Seth Lugo (5-2, 4.10) who has won four of five road starts while working at least six innings in three straight starts with the Mets winning 13 of his past 15 starts. Neither pitcher has a record of any sort against today's opponents but to me it looks like New York has a legitimate shot here. Take NEW YORK!
