Tampa Bay at San Diego 7:10 ET
Padres over Rays- This one we should have thoughts about as the struggling Padres will send former Rays Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (2-6, 3.78 ERA) who has been just a shell of himself since being removed in the 2020 playoffs. But, pitching against his former team will give him incentive as it was a bitter parting in 2021. Tampa Bay will start Zach Eflin (8-1, 2.97) who after seven years with the Phillies seems to have found himself this season. There is trouble in Diego as the Rays are not only 22-6 against lefties but 6-1 in the last seven meetings. As bad as the Padres appear at times they are 6-1 after a loss. Take SAN DIEGO!
