Cardinals over Marlins- When St. Louis was 10-24 I was thinking now is the time to watch for a spark that would send them on a hot streak and they haven’t received it yet as they picked up just one-game in 50 games since. Hey, but beating the Yankees with a revenue pitcher on the mound might have them headed in the right direction. One who definitely is headed in the wrong direction is today's starter for the Cardinals Miles Mikolas (4-5, 4.44 ERA) allowing five or more runs in three of his last four starts. But, he is 3-1 with a 272 ERA in eight appearances against Miami. The Marlins as usual come up with arms and have another one on the hill today in Braxton Garrett (4-2, 3.53) who has a 1.98 ERA in his last nine starts covering 50 innings, but he is just 0-1 with a 7.00 ERA against he Cardinals allowing14 hits in nine innings. Red Birds are 16-5 at Miami in the last 21 meetings and 38-15 in the last 53 meetings overall. Take ST. LOUIS!
