Diamondbacks over Rangers- The Diamondbacks scored three runs with two outs in the 11th inning to defeat the Texas Rangers 4-3, setting themselves up for a possible two-game sweep on Tuesday night in Phoenix. Arizona goes for the two-game sweep on Tuesday with its ace, Zac Gallen, getting the start. Gallen (13-5, 3.17 ERA) won each of his past two starts, both against the Padres. In his latest start, Gallen yielded one run on three hits and a walk with three strikeouts over six-plus innings in a 3-1 win at San Diego on Thursday. Gallen has faced the Rangers before in two starts, the All-Star is 0-1 with a 4.63 ERA. He got a no-decision at Texas on May 2 after giving up three runs in five innings. The Rangers, who have lost a season-high five straight, will go with right-hander Jon Gray (8-6, 3.52) on Tuesday. Gray is no stranger to facing the Diamondbacks, against whom he is 5-7 with a 5.66 ERA in 19 career starts. Like Gallen, he got a no-decision in the May 2 game, when he gave up four runs in 5 1/3 innings. This time Gallen gets the win. Take ARIZONA!
