The Ducks have a terrible record, thanks in part to a terrible start to the season.
Anaheim has been losing of late, but it's been competitive.
The Ducks beat St. Louis 3-2 in OT on March 28th, then lost 5-2 in Colorado. Anaheim then lost 4-2 to the Coyotes, then 3-2 in OT to Arizona, before then crushing the Sharks 5-1 in their most recent action.
Clearly Colorado is the better team. In every respect. I won't try to convince you otherwise. But all good and great teams have letdowns and difficult periods throughout the season as well, and recognizing those spots and taking advantage is something that we try our hardest to uncover.
The Avs just had their five-game win streak snapped in an 8-3 loss to Minnesota, and now they face the lowly Ducks, who are already out of playoff contention.
This is a natural letdown/trap for the Avs after their long win streak was just snapped, and now facing one of the worst teams in the league.
Who quietly enters under the radar likely playing its best hockey of the season, still competing and playing with revenge.
Great situation and an even better payout.
