Total: 8.00 | -103.00 Under
The first two games of this three-game series have flown OVER the number, but we look for a more of a "duel" here on Sunday finally.
Cleveland has in fact seen the total go OVER the number in six straight. Chicago has seen it go OVER in three straight.
Both of these starting pitchers today have gotten out to slow starts to the season, but neither will be lacking motivation today.
Zach Plesac is 1-3 with a 5.81 ERA for the Tribe. Most recently he gave up three runs while striking out four over seven innings vs. the Twins on Monday, earning a no-decision. Plesac continues to improve with each outing, and his sharp 18:3 K:BB over 26.1 frames shows that he's on the cusp of correcting his numbers.
Lucas Giolito is 1-2 with a 5.68 ERA for the White Sox. Giolito has lost two in a row, but a game in friendly confines is just what the doctor ordered to get back on track, as he posted a respectable 3.85 ERA there last year.
Look for these two underachieving, but ultra-hungry starters to be the main focus in tomorrow's summaries.
The play is the UNDER.
Good luck, NP
