This is a 10* GAME OF THE WEEK on the Red Sox.
After winning two in a row in this four-game series, I think the Jays are going to take a step back here after their big 18-4 win yesterday afternoon (note that Boston is 7-1 in its last eight in trying to revenge a home loss against an opponent of five or more runs as well.)
Nathan Eovaldi gets the nod for the home side and he's 7-3 with a 4.11 ERA. He has a sharp 70:17 K:BB over 72.1 innings of work and he's been good in all "night" games so far, going 3-1 with a 3.10 ERA.
His counterpart is Alek Manoah, who gave up two runs over five innings in a no-decision to the White Sox in his last start. The sample size is still really small and his 16:7 K:BB over 14.1 innings is pedestrian at best.
I think Eovaldi is well worth the price of admission in this one.
