This is an 8* CUSTOMER APPRECIATION TOTAL on the OVER Jays/Red Sox.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think about these two teams are dynamic offenses, but each has been struggling to plate runs of late.
I say that trend changes tonight.
Toronto has seen the total go UNDER in three straight, while Boston has seen the total dip below in six in a row.
Toronto goes with Hyun Jin Ryu, who is 9-5 with a 3.44 ERA and who gave up three earned runs off ten hits over four innings in a no-decision to the Mets on Saturday. Ryu has been solid again this year, I just think he's in the wrong place at the wrong time tonight.
Eduardo Rodriguez is 7-5 with a 5.23 ERA for the Red Sox, and while he's been pitching better of late, he still owns a 5.36 ERA at home. And the interesting thing about that is, he owns a winning 3-1 record in Boston, which means the Sox have routinely given him a lot of support in front of the hometown faithful.
Finally note, Boston has seen the total go OVER the number in seven of its last ten after playing to five or more straight UNDERS in a row.
