The White Sox won the AL Central last year, but we suspect that they'll have their hands full here on the road on Opening Day.
Chicago was 93-69 last year.
Lucas Giolito gets the nod for the visitors, and he was 11-9 with a 3.53 ERA last year.
Detroit though is going to be "slept on" a lot this year. After a lengthy rebuild, the Tigers are poised for a playoff run. Last year they went 77-85.
Eduardo Rodriguez gets the call for Detroit, he was 13-8 with a 4.74 ERA for the Red Sox last season, but he was terrific throughout Spring training, pitching five-plus innings in in his final preseason start: "I had my command right away, and I got all my pitches right now," Rodriguez said. "That's what makes me proud about spring training."
Look for a small upset here from the hungry Tigers.
