We had a play on the OVER in Chicago's 5-2 win here yesterday, and while that play did fail to deliver, we're definitely expecting a lot of runs finally here today on Friday, so we're back in the saddle for this selection.
Both Marcus Stroman (0-0, 1.80 ERA) and German Marquez (0-0, 1.29) are coming off great debuts, but we'll expect a bit of regression here considering the venue.
Stroman's actually had unreal success at Coors Field throughout his career, as he's 2-1 with a 1.64 ERA in three outings there.
That sample size is small, and also really unrealistic to maintain our estimation.
Marquez has also struggled against the Cubs throughout his career, going just 1-2 with a ballooned 7.53 ERA over six starts against.
Look for these starters to get chased early and expect this total to fly OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
