After beating the Leafs by a score of 2-1 in Game 7 of their opening round series, the Lightning have carried over that momentum by winning both games of this second round series against Florida as well. First it was 4-1 and then in Game 2 it won 2-1.
That's three straight lower-scoring UNDERS in a row for Tampa, which is significant to note in this case as the Bolts have seen the total go OVER the number in eight of their last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
Florida's vaunted offense has stalled against the defensive-minded Lightning and it's not going to get any easier here.
That said, it's do or die for the Panthers, who will have to push the pace and open things up to try and get themselves back into this series.
I expect this to be the fastest-paced game so far and we look for this total to fly OVER the number sooner, rather than later.
