This is an 8* TOTAL BAIL-OUT on the OVER A's/Angels.

Both teams have been playing to several lower-scoring games of late, but we're expecting those trends to end this evening.

Oakland has played to three straight UNDERS after losing yesterday's series opener for a score of 3-1. LA has seen the total go UNDER in two straight.

The Athletics hand the ball to James Kaprielian, who is 2-5 with a 4.50 ERA. He's been serviceable at best.

Shohei Ohtani has been a bright spot for the Angels this year on both sides of the plate, as he enters at 9-6 with a 2.81 ERA.

Oakland has seen the total go OVER the number in five of its last six in trying to avenge a road loss against an opponent in which it was held to one or less runs in.

I think Oakland will plate a couple off Ohtani here (clearly, we're not going to lay this large home chalk on the money line), and I expect Kaprielian to be average.

The situation and the numbers/trends point to the OVER as the correct call in this one.
