This is a 10* BOOKIEKILLER on the Philadelphia Eagles.
Deshaun Watson was more of a distraction in the Browns 24-13 win over the hapless Jaguars in Week 1 of the preseason. Cleveland is 1-0 SU/ATS to open up the 2022 preseason, but we're expecting a predictable letdown here at home in Week 2.
Conversely, the Eagles looked fantastic with their starter Jalen Hurts in the first quarter of last week's 24-21 home loss to the Jets. Philly had a 14-10 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but then packed it in down the stretch and let the visiting side steal that one.
Remember, there are only THREE weeks now in the preseason. In the past, there were always four weeks of preseason, and the third week was when the starters and veterans saw most of the playing time.
That's now changed obviously, and the second game becomes the one where the starters will see most of the action.
Last week Philadelphia rested almost all of its veterans, including ALL of its defensive veterans. But that won't be the case here in Week 2.
Watson will likely see a whole lot more playing time here as well, but I still give a big nod to Hurts right now.
Beating Jacksonville is one thing. Beating the Eagles is quite another. This Browns team is still in dissaray and we're expecting the more organized visiting side to take advantage.
Look for Philadelphia to play a FULL four quarters, and for Cleveland to take a step back after last week's road win.
