10* FRIDAY NIGHT TOTAL OF WEEK (75% SURGE!)
(NCAAF) Boise State vs. New Mexico, 09/09/2022 9:00 PM, Score: 31 - 14
Total: 46.00 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER Boise State/New Mexico.

Two teams in need of a win collide in New Mexico on Friday night, and in my opinion, all signs point to a "shootout."

Boise State committed five turnovers and was uncharacteristically shutout in the first half of a 34-17 road loss against Oregon State. QB Hank Bachmeier had two first half INT's and then was benched. The Broncos made big adjustments in the second half though, as QB Taylen Green came off the bench to rush for 102 yards and two scores. We can expect those successful adjustments to be carried over into this contest now.

New Mexico lost seven of its eight Mountain West Conference games last year. The Lobos were actually ranked last nationally in total offense last season.

New Mexico played FCS Maine last weekend and clobbered it 41-0. Yes, it was just an FCS squad, but it was a much needed psycholgical lift for the Lobos and I expect them to put up a fight here.

Last weekend New Mexico QB Miles Kendrick was 14 of 17 for 170 yards passing and two touchdowns. He also had two interceptions. RB Sherod White had 58 yards on the ground and two rushing TD's.

The Broncos have a five-game win streak in this series, winning by an average of 29 points. Kendrick though will be able to move the ball against this Boise State defense and while I'm not predicting any huge upsets or anything, I do definitely think that this total is a little low considering all of the situational factors I've listed above.

Look for Boise State to keep the foot on the gas from start to finish after last weekend's awkward effort. And also expect Kendrick and the home side to move the ball and to keep this game competitive late.

This number is low, the play is the OVER.

Good luck, NP
