This is a 9* ATS SUEPR BLOWOUT on Liberty.
The UAB Blazers are coming off a 59-0 home win over Alabama A&M, but I believe the Blazers will have their hands full here against a Liberty team that had its own hands full in last weekend's 29-27 four OT victory over Southern Miss.
UAB QB Dylan Hopkins was 13 of 18 for 191 yards and a touchdown, finishing with a pedestrian 56.8 QBR. The defense gave up 235 yards, but it's difficult to judge exactly where the unit is at quite yet.
Flames' QB Kaidon Salter was 8 of 13 for 148 yard, two TD's and an INT. He also had nine rushes for 62 yards. Liberty used three different QB's during the game, but Salter was the standout.
And overall, the Liberty defense looked good, allowing 389 total yards to the Golden Eagles, which included holding Southern Miss to just 3-of-12 on third down, while also failing to convert on its only fourth down try.
Beating Alabama A&M at home is one thing, but now the level of competition goes up dramatically.
I don't think that UAB should be such a big favorite here on the road. Liberty's defense looked stout and it'll play a big factor in today's outcome as well.
