Both teams enter at 1-0. EMU beat EKU by a score of 42-34 and I believe it'll carry that momentum over here.
Louisiana Lafayette opened up with a 24-7 victory over lowly Southeastern Louisiana.
EMU had 395 yards of offense in its victory, including 124 rushing yards. Quarterback Taylor Powell threw for 271 yards and three touchdowns. Samson Evans had 89 yards rushing and two TDs as well.
The defense catches a break this week. Last week EMU allowed 34 points and 492 total yards.
Louisiana Lafayette allowed just seven opints and 260 yards last week, but that defense is about to be in for a shock here in Week 3 in my estimation.
The Cajuns posted 374 yards of offense last weekend, with Chandler Fields possing for 173 yrds and two touchdowns.
The Ragin Cajuns though are just 1-5 ATS in their last six following an against-the-spread victory, while EMU is 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 on the road against a team with a winning record at home.
I'm not calling for the outright upset, but all signs point to this game being a lot more competitive than what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe.
