Both teams enter this contest at 1-0, but this is a game that favors the home side in my opinion.
Oklahoma State is coming off a 58-44 win over CMU last weekend, while Arizona State beat Northern Arizona by a score of 40-3.
The Sun Devils led the PAC 12 in total defense last year. Arizona State held Northern Arizona to just 124 total yards of offense last weekend. QB Emory Jones was 13 of 18 for 152 yards passing, while Xazavian Valladay rushed 15 times for 116 yards and two TDs.
The Cowboys had a 44-15 half-time lead against CMU last weekend, then took the foot off the gas in the second half. QB Spencer Sanders had 406 yards passing and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 57 yards and two more TDs on the ground.
I like Herm Edwards team, but this is a massive step up in competition this week. Yes the Cowboys looked poor in the second half of last week's win, but we can expect a full four-quarter effort here at home in this prime-time matchup.
Look for the COWBOYS to pull away down the stretch for the comfortable win and cover.
