This is a 10* TOTAL BOOKIEKILLER on the OVER Giants/Diamondbacks.
Both teams have been playing to several lower-scoring games of late, but I'm expecting those trends to end this evening.
The Giants have won four in a row, but they've seen the total go UNDER in three straight. But that's signficant to note here though, as San Francisco has seen the total OVER the number in seven of its last ten after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
Arizona has seen the total go UNDER in three straight as well, and in six of its last seven.
San Francisco hands the ball to Carlos Rodon (13-8, 2.84 ERA), while the home side counters with Tommy Henry (3-4, 5.50).
This is just Henry's eighth big league start and his first since September 7th. I think he'll predictably struggle here.
Rodon has been absolutely fantastic this year for San Francisco against every team EXCEPT for Arizon. Note that Rodon is 0-2 with a 5.59 ERA in three starts vs. the Diamondbacks this season.
The situation points to this total flying OVER the posted number sooner, rather than later.
