This is an 8* TOTAL SPECIAL on the UNDER Orioles/Red Sox.
I came up short with my play on the UNDER in this contest yesterday, as Boston pulled away for the 13-9 victory. The Orioles opened this three-game series with a 14-8 win.
After two really high-scoring games to open this series, bettors are quick to hammer the OVER once again here, but I think the value has now finally swung the other way as far as the total is concerned.
Note that Baltimore has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of its las 11 in trying to avenge a loss against an opponent in which it conceded 12 or more runs in.
Dean Kremer is 8-5 with a 3.07 ERA for the Orioles. He's been solid on the road and he'll be looking to get his team back into the win column. The Orioles aren't mathematically eliminated from contention quite yet.
Rich Hill is 7-7 with a 4.65 ERA for the Red Sox. He shutout the Orioles over five inningson September 11th. Overall he's 4-1 with a 2.80 ERA in 18 appearances, including eight starts, vs. Baltimore.
The public is just auto hammering the OVER now whenever these teams get together, but all signs finally point to a bit of a "duel" here.
