This is an 8* TOTAL BLOWOUT on the OVER SDSU/Boise State.
Both teams have been playing to several lower-scoring games of late, but I expect those trends to end this evening.
SDSU is 2-2, but it's seen the total go UNDER in three straight after last week's 17-14 win at home over Toledo. That's significant to note in our case here tough as the Aztecs have seen the total go OVER the number in five of their last six after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row.
Boise State is 2-2 as well, and it's seen the total go UNDER in three of its four games so far this season, including in last week's listless 27-10 setback at UTEP.
These are two teams DYING for a decent offensive game. I lke betting on motivated teams when I'm betting "overs."
The Aztecs average 222 yards per game on the ground and the Boise State defense will have its hands full.
Hank Bachmeier is out for Boise State at QB after a poor first four games. The Broncos also fired offensive coordinator Tim Plough after last weekend's upset loss.
Look for Taylen Green to be given the "green light" here today with the offense. Last week he was 19 of 28 for 155 yards.
Regardless, I'm expecting each team to open up the playbook on offense and because of that, look for this total to fly OVER the posted number sooner, rather than later.
