The Professors NBA GAME OF THE WEEK
(NBA) Boston vs. Toronto, 09/01/2020 5:30 PM, Score: 102 - 99
Point Spread: -1.50 | -101.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Loss
The Boston Celtics took Game 1 over the defending champs, Toronto Raptors 112-94. Marcus Smart led the Celtics offense with 21 points on six of 10 shooting including 5 three-pointers. Jayson Tatum also had 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Kemba Walker stepped up with a double-double consisting of 18 points and 10 assists. The Celtics hit 17 of 39 from the 3-point line.

Kyle Lowry was questionable for this game, but got the start and had a decent game leading the Raptors with 17 points and dishing out eight assists. Serge Ibaka had 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds off the bench. OG Anunoby chipped in 12 points. The Raptors shot very poorly in the game, hitting 36 percent from the field and 10 of 40 from deep. Pascal Siakam had a poor game with just 13 points on five of 16 shooting and Fred VanVleet shot just 3 of 16 and finished with eleven points.

The Celtics got off to a hot start and built an 18 point lead in the 1st quarter and then played even for the final three quarters. Siakam and VanVleet had poor games and the Raptors get down big early. The Raptors two big players will not play that bad again and take away the slow start and they were right there. I like Toronto to even this series with a win and cover.

Play on Toronto.
