Boston is not stopping opponents on the ball good, they are just terrible on defense. Giving up a league ranked 25th, 102/game. They also struggle with stops on protecting the rim, inside, even with 7-0, Tyler Zeller, who has been playing slightly better, but isn't a force inside.
3rd year guard, Isaiah Thomas has been banged up, and is really the only player who has to try and keep the team in some state to play with some pride, but I think we are over that at this point. Indiana can overwhelm this team with their size and strength. Roy Hibbert and Solomon Hill are both too big and strong to be stopped when they want to get to the rim. They survive this game by hammering the ball, which is what Boston cannot do, especially in Indiana. Looks like Boston will finish in the bottom tier in the East. It's very tough to make a case for them. They are playing with zero urgency, to make a last ditch push for 8.
