Another huge difference from my line as I have Rider as a 10-12 point favorite. I understand the Vegas number as Canisius is 10-12 his season while Rider is 8-13 with the teams having almost identical strength of schedule rankings.
The reason we're getting value here is each teams last 5 games. Canisius is 3-2 in that span but lost their last 2 games by 13 & 21 points failing to cover by 14 & 23.5 points. Their 3 wins came versus the MEAC #9 and #10 teams and versus Manhattan without their leading scorer. Rider meanwhile has won 4 of their last L/5 with the loss to the MEAC's #2 team as they failed to cover by one point losing by 9 points on the road.
They did have 2 wins versus the leagues #10 and #11 teams but they beat Iona (MEAC #3) by 4 points as a 4 point dog and in their last game they traveled to St Peters (#4) and as a 3 point dog won by 31 points. Clearly the better team of late, playing at home and in basically a win situation.
